Is the trailer and the steering wheel the same? The drives makes a lot of rotation and I don't see the truck reacting to it.

Where I work driving a sent truck there are a lot of times I have blind side into a dock this is not fun but I can do it fun fun

Setting up that high up is very unrealistic for most places. In fact, you'd be lucky to even have half that space.

The school I go to wants me to do It twice before getting into the other line.

I'm doing the new 2024 modernized skills test. Reverse, offset, backing to the right with a 53 foot trailer And it has been very difficult for us students at the school I attend to get this maneuver done correctly and I'm wondering if I can use the same formula That you used on this blind side parallel parking exercise, because it seems very similar? And can I use the 3 seconds that you count when turning left? And then stir, right to get my tractor and trailer straight at the correct angle? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. You can pull 6 ft from the alley dock cones and get this done with no issue. No reason to be 35ish feet out from the cones lol

Just for the record, at 0:56, you stated turn the wheel clock wise. And in the video it shows him turning counter clockwise again lol. Other than that, it's a beautiful demonstration of blind side parallel parking and definitely helps my brain register what is going on from the outside for when I do this in practice.

Very good video for understanding overall mechanics. I'm going to look for a video from the cabin because I find it hard to know where the back of the trailer is base on the mirrors.

It would be even more helpful if what to look mf for from inside the truck

My favorite maneuver! Although when it’s late at night and you’re just finishing your day….. I don’t care how many years you got under your belt you’re going to cuss and berate your trailer for the multiple number of retry’s you’ll have to do to parallel park your truck before calling it a day 🤣

When the Light frontal left side are on the line just turn everytinhg cuz the tire, will go strait line?

I see how it's done from the outside. What about from the inside? Meaning, how's he controlling the wheel keeping the trailer straight?

Seems that every teacher varies a little. This guy adjust as he's driving while other say, stop, turn wheel, continue, etc.

In the beginning you said turn counter clockwise and turn left which is correct, then towards the end of the clip you said turn clockwise but showed a clip of you turning to the left, kinda confusing .

So once you get your tractor back aligned with you trailer you steer back counter clockwise again ?
